Vinnies Winter Appeal certainly appealed to the students at St Patrick’s in Cooma
Despite the thermometer dropping to minus 7, the Year 10 students braved the cold and slept out to raise vital funds for the homeless in this area. The students danced to keep warm, but also undertook some serious research and discovered that in winter the levels of insecurity of housing rise sharply on the Monaro.
There are also those who rely on the Vinnies’ foodbank so the Kindergarten to Year 6 students held a Soup-er Hero Day, bringing along a can of soup to replenish the foodbank.
