Assessment Methodology

Measuring a student’s knowledge, skills and understanding helps us understand where we excel and where we need to improve to ensure our students receive a high-quality education. Assessment data informs our teaching approach.

Along with participation in the National Assessment Program’s Literacy and Numeracy, our schools also use the following evidence-based assessment frameworks:

• Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT)
• University of Oregon DIBELS Literacy benchmark testing
• For NSW senior schools, HSC exams
• For ACT senior schools, the ACT Scaling Test
