St Mary’s was thrilled to welcome our friends from local Young pre-schools Annette’s Place, Good Start, Gumnut Grove and Stepping Stones to share in a special event. All the children were thoroughly enthralled by “Snake Tails” by Bob Withey, an interactive learning experience focused on Australian reptiles.

Snake Tails is a multi-award winning, interactive learning experience, proudly featuring only Australian reptiles. Bob has over 25 years of experience in breeding and displaying reptiles. He has been keeping reptiles for more than 50 years. The children loved learning about the reptiles and getting up close with them. The children showed confidence, curiosity and courage!

When asked about his avid interest in reptiles, Bob responded,  “ I was five when I got my first diamond python and I am passionate about reptiles.” He is on a mission to demystify them and increase our understanding of their behaviours and their place in the environment.

There is no doubt that the children have a much greater appreciation for reptiles after attending Snake Tails! The St Mary’s Kindergarten children really enjoyed hosting our friends from the pre-schools too!
