Google VR at St Gregory’s Primary Queanbeyan
Year 6 students at St Gregory’s Primary School in Queanbeyan enjoyed the experience of using Google VR to explore many of the places mentioned in the Gospels, such as where Jesus was born and where he ministered. Through the use of the Google Street View App and Google Cardboard, students could navigate around significant places within the Catholic faith, such as Bethany Beyond the Jordan, The Garden Temple in Jerusalem and The Pool of Bethesda.
The excited feeling of ‘being there’ provoked rich discussions, analysis and responses from students, who are eager to explore more destinations in the future as they delve further into their research tasks in Religion lessons this term.
