Together in faith and learning
Inspiring Futures – together in Faith and Learning encompasses the vision of Faith Formation, Religious Education and Curriculum support to schools within the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. This statement and the diagram represent the centrality of the Catholic Faith in the education of students.
The cross is placed in the centre of the diagram symbolising Jesus as the most important teacher and also how the Gospel teachings guide faith formation and curriculum processes. The cross is what draws us all together and unites us in Catholic Education. Behind the cross there is a map of the Archdiocese that spreads from the West, to the South and North with ACT in the centre. The red circles relate to the five Aboriginal language groups within the Archdiocese. The five groups are coming together in a central area around the cross and this shows how our Aboriginal heritage is linked to the Catholic Faith.
Radiating out from the cross are the words Love, Inspire, Commit, Encounter and Transform. These words are used to break open the teachings of Jesus. Our Catholic Identity grows and develops through the actions of these words. We look for this demonstration in our Catholic Faith, Discipleship, Teaching and Learning, Community Partnerships and Justice and Equity.
